Solar energy charges the batteries during the day. Batteries take 6 hours of direct sunlight to fully charge and will power the lights for 6-8 hours on a full charge. Operate the lights after the sun goes down via the ON/OFF switch on the bottom of the cap. Lights will only work when it is dark out.
